StationPlaylist add-on 22.01 released, final planned release from me
#addonrelease
Thanks very much for all you have done with this add on over the years. I use it once a week, and a few times a year, it gets used an extra bit. Tonight will be one of those. I'll be thinking of you a

I'd vote Yes for keeping the SPL list alive. Hopefully someone will pick up development of this add on by the end of year. Roger

Help retrieving an addon Thatwill work with Studio and Creator 511 and the current version of NVDA
The problem is that all of the web address doesn't fit on one line. If you try to click or hit enter on it, it only picks up the top line of it. I just selected the entire address and then copied and

Older spl and newer addons?
Exactly right. There is a legacy version of the add on floating around that will work with that earlier version of SPL. Ask Joseph for the link to get it as it isn't on the regular add on site. Roger

Notice and a proposal: renaming encoder settings file, encoder labels management, stream labels versus encoder labels
Can you please explain the labels and their differences? I'm used to the way they are labeled now but just want to know what the different types of labels would be like. I think we have encoder labels

Proposal: remove audio ducking reminder dialog, as it is actually not needed at all?
I think it depends on how you use spl. If you use it stand alone, then audio ducking has no effect on streaming. If you use it the way I do, I send the audio from my sound card through a mixer and the

Request for comments: separate broadcast profiles into itx own dialog?
It should just pick up and use whatever time your computer clock is showing. If it gets Daylight Time, then SPL will display this as well. Roger

Important: announcing Project Fireworks - a farewell tour for SPL add-on
I've seen the spl add on go from something that barely did anything to being one of the most useful add ons I currently use. I use it at least once a week and lots around the Holidays. Thanks so much

Request for comments: should standalone settings dialogs be unified under main Studio add-on settings screen?
At least I'd think this would be the better choice but it will depend on what others say. Since I do it with broadcaster profile change, it won't affect me one way or the other. Roger

I think this is all good except perhaps meta data streaming settings. It will be good to keep the ability to turn this on or off on the fly with a hotkey. Although I do this now with a user profile to

Request for comments: should NVDA no longer announce playing track automatically if focused in places other than Studio?
I have no need to hear track playing while not focused on spl itself as the end of track alarm will let me know to get back there in time if needed. However, I like it announcing track and artist whil

Tutorials
I have an older version of a tutorial that Joseph Lee did. What is there is still good, but the add on has added lots of features since he recorded it. If you want, I can get it to you. Roger

Proposal (returning to an old request): announce encoder connection status five seconds after it connects?
Personally, I'd never want this. I want to know immediately when the encoder connects. So that should be the default and if someone wants the delayed notice, then that should be configurable. Roger

Copying an entire playlist on a txt file
Yes it is, but I never use this function so can't give you the key combo that does it. It should be in the help file and the add on guide though. Roger

Creator and category criteria screen: what should be done?
The one thing is the developer of all SPL products is aware of accessibility problems and if something is brought to his attention, he will fix it in the next release. Roger

Proposal: allow NVDA to announce connection attempt messages until it connects?
Sounds good. I do think it should be able to be set for each encoder. I use a "dummy" encoder to prerecord material and it can never connect as it isn't set to do so so that one should just go silent
